Zimple Restaurant & Bar

I visited Zimple with my family 2 days ago and we had a great experience. From the person who greets you at the door, our waiter Ricardo to the Chefs on site. Everything we ordered was delicious, and Im not saying this lighly. Texture, flavor balance, presentation, freshness, aunthenticity! Coconut mojito- the best I’ve ever had and I am half cuban, half puertorrican. App- mini mofongo cups stuffed with skirt steak 5⭐. Mampostiao rice had this smokey flavor like it was cooked in a “fogón”, super authentic. The wow dish was the lobster stuffed with seafood, you can easily feed 3 people from that dish. The 5 milk cake was a very good sweet ending. Waiter checked on us many times, refilled waters, drinks promptly, make conversation and jokes with my mom. Recommended entrees, overall very knowledgeable, you can tell he loved his job. Chef accommodated my moms low sodium request. This place is a gem. Definately give it a try while staying in Rio Grande or passing by Canovanas. Thanks for the great time guys!!

It feels like you’re walking in a bakery cafe in Paris. The ambiance was calm and welcoming. The menu was easy to read, and ordering was a breeze. Our waitress checked in on us several times. The food did feel room temperature, I wished it was hotter. Other than that, I was completely satisfied! The food was tasty, and the portion said was more than enough. It was walking distance to many other shops and restaurants. This is a must-have while in San Juan. You will not be disappointed. I was too stuffed to try out any pastries or cakes, but there were fresh made sweets daily that you could order.

Delicious, casual, locals kind of place. We loved our food here. Food can take a long time, but everything was delicious. The fried cheese and paella were highlights.

Very delicious. Low-key ambiance with beautiful presentation of food and drinks. The blackened seared ahi tuna with fried rice dish was excellent–the tuna was perfect and melted in your mouth. The guys raved over their shrimp dishes.

Food and service were stellar. Our large party seemed to have overwhelmed the kitchen and our dinner took 4 hours…but we were there to socialize so it worked out well. Beef Wellington, foie gras, and truffle mac and cheese were impressive. Look forward to our return.
