Location is amazing.
Location is amazing. The beach was a 5 min walk away. There is a 24 hour Walgreens one block away. The layout was great at this place; very spacious and comfortable with AC everywhere. Lots of amenities as well. Hosts were very responsive, but it made me nervous that check in instructions were only sent out one hour before check in time. Also, check in time is at 4pm, but they do not offer early luggage drop off, but host suggested a great luggage storage place nearby. The biggest issue I had was that there were so many tiny ants, which were tolerable for a couple nights stay, but they sometimes crawled onto me and on the bed. The space is two apartments connected, so there are two kitchens where the ants were mostly located. One of the apt’s view out the window was a shared balcony space, so I was uncomfortable with opening the blinds. I struggled with figuring out how to exit the main door, which was often left open which felt unsafe, but someone showed me there is an exit button.

This was a great stay!
This was a great stay! Very close to the beach—less than a 2 minute walk. It is central to all of the necessities and tons of food options. The only downside is that they weren’t flexible with the early arrivals and late checkouts. This may be due to the high demand in bookings. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.
We loved the apartment.
We loved the apartment. It was clean, had all the basic stuff like iron, iron table, mop, cleaner, kitchen utensils, toaster, stove, etc. The Bustelo coffee they gave us to prepare in the coffee maker was delicious. Also the location was very close to restaurants, stores and bus stop. The host was always available and answered promptly our texts. Definitely would stay with Otium again.
the location was amazing
Although I had a great time in Puerto Rico and the location was amazing. The 3 flights of stairs were not great, as females, we typically travel with a heavy suitcase or two. By the time we reached our unit, we were exhausted! There isn’t a lobby, so we had to wait in a buildin near by, not ideal. The internet is not throughout the unit, and it kept dropping; however, the personnel was friendly and responsive. And the place was very clean.

We loved our stay here.
We loved our stay here. Everything was clean and very comfortable. It is walking distance to a beautiful beach and a good central location for all the things we wanted to do while there. Parking was literally steps from our door. The little pool was even closer. We did have an issue with the locks on some of the windows not working. Being on the ground floor, this made us a little uneasy but we were behind 2 gates. We also found one of the beach chairs broken, likely by a past visitor and unknown to the management. I did pass along those concerns and hopefully they will address them. Overall, it was a great stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as long as the window locks were fixed.

Overall, we had a great stay at this location. It was centrally located on Avenida Ashford, within walking distance to many restaurants and points of interest. We had access to a private beach and the host even included beach towels, beach chairs, and sunscreen which we thought were nice touches. The space was simple but exactly what we were looking for. The only complaint we had is that we were asked before we arrived if we would need the sofa bed so that bedding could be provided. We said that we did, yet when we arrived there was no bedding. Since it was so late at night when we arrived, they could not deliver anything until the morning. The delivery only included sheets and no blanket and we had to make a second request to get that right. That was frustrating upon arrival but after that it was smooth sailing. We would definitely stay here again.

The place was beautiful, clean, and very spacious. All the employees at the complex were helpful and kind. Having the pool and beach right outside was wonderful for our family. The location is very secluded, which was nice for the privacy on the beach, but meant that if we needed to get to a store or restaurant, it was a minimum 15 minute drive. Not a major negative, just something to note as you plan your trip!

Great deal in a fun part of san juan – rental company so it can be heard to communicate with them to be honest but if youre a low maintenance group its a great cheap stay
Great location, responsive hosts
Great location, responsive hosts, and a place big enough to accommodate our group of 8. Close to everything and easy to get in and out of the building. Hosts were extremely proactive and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. They even left out snacks, coffee, toiletries, and towels. Other reviews do comment on the noise, but when you’re in the middle of a busy tourist area, it’s expected. Would 100% stay here again – we all loved it!

Had a terrific stay at Otium’s place! First of all everyone was absolutely helpful, courteous and very responsive from the response team whenever we needed anything. They made it easy to address any concerns and provide guidance on any of our needs. Property was just like the photos. Quite roomy actually with lots of great natural light and views of the pool area. I was able to fit more in the little fridge than expected so if you’re needing to pack a few items to keep there you should, plus there is a grocery store very close by. Beach is a short walk with great areas for swimming. It really attracts the locals so its a really nice vibe if that’s what you’re looking for. I really enjoyed it vs being with other tourists. Lots of great restaurants close by and easy access to highways and other attractions. Made it to El Yunque (rainforest) in about 45 mins and lots of other beaches close by if you rent a car. $8 uber from airport if you need that. Overall A+ experience!

It was the little things that made this place one of the best vacation
It was the little things that made this place one of the best vacation destinations I have had to date. Whether it was beach chairs, a cooler, or something as simple as a broom, Otium provided it all. This was a beautiful and clean appartment that was only a 30 second walk to the beach. The area is full of restaurants and bars. The host was incredibly communicative and kind. After having a not so good experience with my previous Airbnb host, Otium was there to make my stay so special and relaxing despite that. I would recommend this to ANYONE looking to stay in the San Jan area.

This location was extremely close to everything on the Condado, most restaurants were less than a 10 minute walk away and super close to the beach. the space also had some fun games and a shared space outside so you could sit outside and enjoy the weather at any time. the host was very communicative which was great. I would definitely recommend this and stay here again!
