Despite being experienced international travelers, this one was our first experience with an airbnb and it was a truly positive one. Otium Rentals made our staying at Villa Playa en Isla Verde, Carlina, PR, a memorable pleasant experience. Aside an issue with the padlock at the gate and an improvable higher water pressure, everything was outstanding. The space is ample, luminous, neat and comfortable. The property is nested in a small, private and quiet community, at a short walking distance to Isla Verde Beach and close to shops and restaurants. Our place had large windows, which let in plenty light and ocean breeze, and even the sound of the ocean waves, and a view of the ocean ! Also, the management and personnel (Angel, Luis Miguel, Juan Miguel,…) were approachable, responsive, and eager to help. We reported a need for a repair and the Manager came in that evening.They make us feel welcome and appreciated. Over all, it was a great value and a pleasant memorable experience!

Great value for money. 10 mins walk to beach. 10 minutes drive to Old Sanjuan. Close to places that we were interested in spending time. The apartment was very clean. Loved the roof top setup. Host is very responsive.
Our 9 day stay here was nothing short of perfect!
our 9 day stay here was nothing short of perfect! the location was beautiful and everything was easily accessible! the beach was a short 5 minute walk at most! towels, life vests, and chairs were provided for beach use! will definitely book here again for our next return to San Juan!

Place was exactly like the pictures. Very clean as well. You can walk right to the beach and the spot is more private than other areas on the beach. Everything we needed was provided. We even lost power on our first full day and host was very responsive to let us know what was going on and offered to bring us extra water and a battery pack to charge our phones. Luckily power was restored fairly quickly and we didn’t need those but it was really nice of them to offer! We did request extra pillows and they brought them right up. The only thing I didn’t like was that the water in the shower was lukewarm at best (runs off a small heater in the closet, honestly the kitchen sink water for some reason was warmer than the shower. Not sure if shower handle was broken or what) and I like my showers hot,hot! Will definitely book through Otium again!

Great location for parking the car and walking to beach and restaurants or just a short car ride to just about anything else you want. The pool after a day at the beach to jump in and feel refreshed was great. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

I would give Otium’s place 5 stars. Here are the top things that we really enjoyed/valued. 1. Very close to the beach and park 2. Secure building with key access to get into the parking lot, front door of the building, and up the elevator 3. Very spacious apartment with lots of seating 4. Kitchen with everything you could possibly need 5. Comfortable beds and 2 bathrooms 6. Owner was very responsive I would definitely recommend this place.

El area es turística con aseso controlado y códigos de mucha seguridad. Muchos restaurantes aledaños. Playas adyacentes y piscina. Todo sería ideal en un verano! Muy conveniente para el uso de Taxis o Uber. El dueño es un hombre muy joven, que lo considero un gran ejemplo de éxito y superación para toda la juventud local y de otros países. Demuestra un gran nivel de madurez emocional y profesionalismo esforzándose constantemente para mejorar la estructura.

Excellent space. Check in is a little tricky, but after you get in, you realize how clear the instructions were. Otium also followed up throughout our trip.

If you’re looking for an home-like stay sans the hotel feel, this place is for you. I (and my family) thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The host is phenomenal! They offer a guide once you’ve booked, as well as detailed instructions on how to find and access the home. Response time was also A+. We were unsure of how to convert the sofa into a bed and messaged the host. They responded within minutes with a detailed video. They even followed up the next day to make sure all was well. The home is in a local neighborhood, which is what we wanted…as we were not interested in being in a tourist area. Great restaurants are within walking distance and there are even more options if you’re willing to walk longer than 15 minutes (which we did our last day). I definitely plan to book the next time I stay in San Juan. Thank you again!

The positives: Free on-street parking right out front. Gated community. Walking distance to the beach. Quiet––we hardly saw anyone else and we definitely did not hear them. Nice size pool in the courtyard. Nice hot shower. The negatives: There are no chairs for the kitchen table (maybe they will fix this because it would make such a difference!) so you have to eat sitting on a bed. The neighborhood looks a bit sketchy at first, but we found it completely safe and convenient. There is an acai bowl place right across the street and the BEST coffee at 787 Coffee a block away. Grocery store is walkable (maybe 10 minutes) and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The host was very responsive except when the dryer stopped working (and I had a load of wet towels to dry). I did not hear back from them so we hung them in the apartment. All in all, we were happy with the place.

Wonderful Place. Only the parking is outside and some times the Parking you can’t find maybe because the handyman use the parking outside. The tv was without remote control and they bring out 2 days before I go but never work because the wifi Connection don’t connect to the TV and nobody comes to help. So No TV

Easy to get to location and what was expected for the price. Only feedback would be to ensure there are enough bath/shower towels for the number of people staying. Also didn’t have a pizza cutter and needed new batteries for the gate remote. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment had everything we needed for our family of 3. The apartment was clean, beds very comfortable. Secure parking in a gated community, supermarket and beach, close by. We rented a car only for half our stay. Ubers were reliable and affordable. One side of the apartment (the bedrooms) faces Calle Loiza and so it’s noisy. We were there around Christmas and so there were a few days when bikes were zooming about between midnight and 3 am. Something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper like us. Except for that, it was a good stay. Otium rentals were very responsive whenever we needed something.

From the minute my family and I arrived everything was perfect. Place was clean and felt like home. Lots of great shops & restaurants within walking distance. You also have not one but 2 outside balconies wwhich we used for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend, we will be back next year and partly because of our beautiful airbnb. We loved staying at this apartment. It is really well located, a quick scooter, nice walk, or east uber from anywhere you might need to go in the city. The host was also quite communicative and was able to respond to our couple requests during our stay.

The people at Otium were great. Very communicative. The space was clean. It was a nice home base on a work trip. The balconies were I nice bonus in the evening.

The bedroom is roomy and the bed very comfortable, there was plenty of space to put all of my belongings. The location was perfect, right in the center of Condado and a lot of things in walking distance. The beach is right behind and beautiful for morning walks. Overall a very nice stay.

Good apartment for families. The location was confusing as I expected beachfront property but it was still walking distance to the beach. Host was very responsive and helpful. Overall great experience.
We were four girls staying at Otium.
We were four girls staying at Otium. The place looks exactly like pictures. Otium is a great host, they are quick at response and garnered our needs on requests. The place is on level 4 so it’s big of stair climbing. The apartment is spacious with 2 rooms with queen bed each and one bathroom. Bathroom is a bit small. The living room was cutely decorated. We love the fact they have 2 patios at front and back of the apartment. We used their late checkout and birthday balloon add-ons. They delivered all the services on time. The neighborhood is very safe. The closest beach is just 15-17 min walk. Overall we had a great stay.

Enjoyed my stay in this Airbnb. It is located in a gated community, which makes it a little difficult to reach at first. The place is as described and has the listed amenities. There was only one hiccup with connecting to the wifi, due to receiving an incorrect password, however the host was proactive and very responsive with correcting the issue. Would recommend.

He was available through messages, phone or video call. I received clear instructions for checking in and checking out. Also, the shower head was really cool, feels like you’re walking under the rain.
