Overall it was a decently large one bedroom apartment in a gated community. No frills but had a large bathroom and full kitchen. The pool was sort of uninviting but it’s close to the beach and you can always Uber to other areas of San Juan for very cheap. The listing did say it was had two beds (a queen bed and a sleeper sofa) but when we arrived we couldn’t find sheets for the sleeper sofa (it is an extra charge to have sheets and pillows delivered).

Great place to stay for an affordable price. There is beach gear inside and the arcade games were a fun addition. The place is a quick walk to breakfast spots and to some smaller, quieter beaches. Never felt unsafe behind the locked gate and our locked room, and the staff was reponsive.

Instructions on arrival were clear, apartment is as described. Views are incredible. The building is super unique with really cool architecture. The central hallway is open to the outside and the rest of the building so noise travels easily but the neighbors are quiet and you can’t hear much once inside. There’s a market/grocery store on the corner with everything you need for your stay. A/c is super efficient. Hosts are quick to answer, polite and very accommodating. Building is located on a steep one-way street; the apartment is on the top floor w/ four flights of narrow stairs to climb plus smaller openings, pack light. Wear good shoes on your day of arrival. Centrally located and very walkable. We travelled with our two year old + stroller and found the area safe and welcoming. There were a few ants in the kitchen, as a previous guest mentioned, but nothing extreme or caused us any concern. We kept food sealed and didn’t have an issue. We would definitely stay again

Great that it was on the beach
Great that it was on the beach, and the pool was really nice. Very convenient location and the parking spot was very helpful as we’d rented a car. Lots of things within a 15-20 min walk and several restaurants and things within a block or two. Easy to get on the Highway and close to museums.

Such a cute and spacious place. The hosts were very responsive and quick. They proactively came and brought me extra amenities. The beach is out of this world! It felt like a private beach. The wifi wasn’t the most dependable. Theres a really good restaurant 1min away called Pacos. Great place and the snacks provided were yummy! Super sweet hosts.

Overall Otium’s listing was a great find.
Overall Otium’s listing was a great find. Very well located and accessible. Walkable to a lot of stores, restaurants, & La Placita. The host is extremely responsive and accommodating. Had a small issue with parking as it is not actually included with the listing as originally stated but Otium went out of their way to provide a spot for our days there and helped our stay be much more comfortable/accesible. Would definitely recommend & stay again!

Pictures doesn’t do the room/ living space justice. Everything was nice and clean, as expected. Pool was shareable and has enough chairs to accommodate people. Place was easy to find and able to enter. Very close to a nice body of water, lots of restaurants, and walking distance (10 mins) to a super market. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!
GREAT location and an amazing beach view
GREAT location and an amazing beach view. Walking to tons of restaurants and a quick, inexpensive uber to Old San Juan and around the city. Had a few hiccups with the place upon check in but host was very responsive. I appreciated having beach items available with the apartment (towels, chairs, toys). Very hot water in the shower which was also nice. Just a few notes, the building is under repairs so just be aware of construction noise. Also, bed is very squeaky and needs more pillows for 2 people.

The stay was great! It has parking which is a huge plus. The space is super clean and spaceous. They left plenty of coffee and tea. And the area is really safe and accessible. They have some Arcade game in the first floor which was fun. Around the price point, this was solid. Also: Their communication is a huge plus!

There were good and bad things about this airbnb. Starting with the good, the location is perfect – right in the middle of OSJ and walking distance to most restaurants and close enough to uber to the beach. There’s a TV in every room which was a fun touch but it would be nicer if they put that money towards keeping the apartment clean instead. The main bedroom is really big which was nice and the patio was also nice and big. The host was also very responsive. Now the things that need improvement: As mentioned earlier, cleanliness. The apartment lacks adequate airflow so the bathroom felt stuffy and unclean the entire time. The cabinet and floor wood is really old so it lets out an odd scent. The couch had weird stains on it and felt dirty. We found ants on the couch and all over the floor. We all left with bites all over our bodies, unsure what that’s from – we questioned bedbugs at some point. Each person is given one pillow, which is extremely thin. The bunk beds have a hard mattre

Great on every aspect, except the street gets a lot of very noisy traffic well into the late night.

We had a great stay at the Condado Unit. The location is great; it is close to the beach, and the Walgreen is right at the corner which is very convenient. We were in Puerto Rico for a conference, the Convention Center is a very short uber-drive away and so is the old San Juan. The apartment is clean and had all the necessary amenities. The host was very responsive. It can get noisy at night with cars passing by with loud music, so you might want to have ear buds handy.

This place was FANTASTIC for the price
This place was FANTASTIC for the price, would absolutely recommend. Every room was bigger than they looked in the pictures! The kitchenware was way more fleshed out than a lot of cheap AirBnBs I’ve stayed in, didn’t have to buy a whisk or bottle opener. The bed was huge, and the futon was just as comfortable as a normal mattress. Two A/C units, great water pressure, and a full body mirror (three things a lot of AirBnBs in PR miss). The mini arcade system was a nice touch! The check in was a little annoying because they sent us through a 3rd party portal that took a while to fill out, and we were already trying to enjoy our day in San Juan. They won’t send the check-in instructions until an hour before which is annoying too. I’d rather get it right away so I know what to expect, even if I don’t get the code until an hour before. All things considered, that was pretty minor and the communication felt almost immediate

The house is very clean and very close to the city. However, after booking, you have to register a lot of personal information, including uploading driver’s license photos, etc., which endangers personal privacy. In addition, the host only provided check-in information 4 hours before check-in, which made it very difficult for us.

Very spacious place in a good location. Condo could use some general maintenance/repairs; however, we felt the price for the space was good and I would stay there again for a similar price point. Pool signs do state that short term renters are not able to use the pool; however, I am not sure they could police that—we opted to follow the rules and not use the pool.
